Percy Moore died from wounds on 3rd May, 1915, after having been sent to a base hospital on the coast, but as yet there is no information as to when and where he was wounded. The 1st Rifle Brigade battalion were part of 11 Brigade, 4th Division who, during April and May, 1915, were engaged in the desperate struggle in the north-east sector of the Ypres salient, which became known as Second Ypres.
